Summit Technology Group and Inovonics announced the integration of PostMaster Cloud Connect in the Inovonics Model 732 Advanced Dynamic RDS Encoder.

“The latest firmware revision of the Model 732 now includes the ability to connect to a PostMaster channel and monitor for dynamic metadata,” they said.

“The integration with PostMaster affords users an easy and cyber-secure means of getting PAD Data to the Model 732 RDS Encoder without the need for a static IP address or complex configuration of firewall rules.”

The announcement was made by Summit President Paul Stewart and Inovonics President/CEO Ben Barber.

PostMaster operates in a server-based, push-pull architecture to ensure no unsolicited data is received by the Advanced Dynamic RDS Encoder.

Data is pushed with an authentication header including a complex username and password combination. To connect the Model 732 to PostMaster, the user just enters username and password in the PostMaster section of the Data Ports menu.

“Within seconds, data is flowing and being encoded according to the RadioText and DPS settings or defaults,” the companies said in the announcement.
