Keego Harbor, Mich., March 3, 2026 - Summit Technology Group announced the release of AirLux Studio Signaling, a modern studio signaling platform designed for broadcast facilities seeking a flexible, network-based alternative to traditional ‘on-air’ light systems. The AirLux system combines sleek touchscreen signage, centralized scheduling, and intuitive broadcast workflow integration to provide clear, reliable studio status indication across modern broadcast facilities.
AirLux integrates natively with Axia Livewire-enabled broadcast environments without the need for complex external interfaces. This native integration enables studios to automatically display status indicators such as On-Air, Recording, or Production in Progress, synchronized directly with console activity and automation workflows.
The system is designed with simplicity and modern studio infrastructure in mind. Each AirLux signage device features a slim, professional touchscreen display powered entirely by Power over Ethernet (PoE). This allows installations to be completed using only a single Ethernet cable for both power and network connectivity, reducing installation complexity and eliminating costly electrical work or the need to seek permits.
AirLux includes a centralized server platform supplied and preconfigured by Summit Technology Group, enabling facilities to manage multiple signage devices and studios from a single interface. The system provides a web-based configuration environment where administrators can manage devices, customize signage layouts, configure triggers, book studio events, and update graphics and color schemes across the entire facility.
A built-in scheduling engine allows stations to program studio status indicators based on time of day or operational schedules. This capability is particularly useful for facilities that run scheduled programming blocks, automated shows, or multi-room production environments where signage needs to reflect changing operational states throughout the day. One-time events can also be scheduled to welcome a special guest or indicate unique programming.
The system also supports custom branding and graphics, allowing facilities to incorporate their station branding, colors, and messaging into studio signage. In addition to Livewire integration, AirLux can interface with automation systems and third-party control environments, and can support GPIO triggering through compatible external hardware interfaces.
AirLux is designed for multi-studio and even multi-location deployments, allowing facilities to deploy signage across multiple studios, control rooms, or production spaces while maintaining centralized control and configuration.
All AirLux systems ship as a complete, fully configured solution, including the server and touchscreen signage devices. Customers may select from multiple screen sizes depending on their installation requirements.
“We are proud to bring to market such an innovative and elegant alternative to traditional ‘on-air’ lamps,” said Paul Stewart, President, Summit Technology Group.
